Pool lounging, Holi Garden Festival and Space, Ibiza

On the second day in Ibiza, we were happy to lounge by the hotel pool until it was time to go to the Holi Garden Festival in the late afternoon.

I’ve been eyeing up cut-out swimsuits for a while but always hesitated buying one. Would it be flattering? What about the tan lines? But I must admit they do look great by the pool and if you can’t wear one in Ibiza then when can you wear one?!

The Holi Garden Festival was held in Benimussa Park, home of the popular Zoo Project event where guests dress up as animals and rave in an abandoned zoo. The Festival is a bit different to other clubbing experiences. There are no rules, no boundaries, no rivalries, no VIPs – it’s purely about spreading the love and losing yourself in the music – whilst covering each other in powered paint. Do you have any idea how liberating it was to throw paint at strangers? Answer: VERY. There was no need to dress up for this so I wore a Primark swimsuit with basic black shorts from Topshop. And yes, the paint washed out easily. Thank god. I would have had a major meltdown if I was stuck with green hair!

For dinner, we visited a local restuarant for paella as it was close to the hotel and we just wanted a quick bite to eat before going to Space for the night. I decided to wear this Zara Hawaiian dress as I hadn’t worn it for a while and it’s got a smart holiday vibe to it. The sandals are from the Monsoon children’s range a few years ago – there are some perks to having tiny feet!

DJs Richie Hawtin and Dubfire were headlining at Space so I wanted to wear something to suit the cool, techno vibe. This sequin co-ord from Miss Selfridge did just the job.
