I’ve been to a wedding and had 2 birthdays over the weekend to celebrate so I’m feeling less than energetic today. I thought that I’d share the outfit that I wore to the wedding though as it was quite pretty.
I went for embellishment again (I’m sparkle mad lately!) and wore this sequin cami dress from the Miss Selfridge petite range. It was a nice fit – sometimes regular sizes can swamp my figure in too much material so I do appreciate it when stores stock smaller sizes. I think Miss Selfridge has the best petite range on the high street at the moment as I always seem to find something there when other stores have disappointed me.
I didn’t bother with jewellery apart from a simple pair of pearl earrings as the dress was eye-catching enough. Although it was tempting to wear false lashes, I didn’t because I didn’t want to look like I was going on a night out. Therefore, I kept my make-up low-key and natural. However, I made a bit more effort with my hair and wore loose curls and backcombed the crown for a bit of height and volume. I need to backcomb more often, it makes such a difference!
