Mark Hill hair MiracOILicious

A review of Mark Hair MiracOILicious 2 minute inensive treatment and Moroccan Argan Oil
Soft hair, be mine!

I received Mark Hill hair products amongst other goodies from the lovely team at Kilpatrick PR last week. The MiracOILicious 2 minute intensive treatment and the MiracOILicious Moroccan Argan Oil.  My long hair needed some TLC after being heat styled a lot over Christmas so I was looking forward to trying them!

MiracOILicious 2 minute intensive treatment

The black and orange packaging sticks out like a sore thumb in my bathroom but it’s certainly eye-catching. Packaging doesn’t really bother me though, it’s the actual product that counts.

The scent is an exotic mix of 14 essential oils and plant extracts including Moroccan argan oil, ylang ylang, bergamot, spearmint, castor, palmarosa, orange, patchouli, clove, Artemisia pallens flower and white birch – phew! It smells quite strong, the main notes I get are spearmint, patchouli and clove. When I first opened it, I wasn’t fussed on the scent but when I applied it to my hair, it grew on me.

The texture is thick and luxurious. With some intensive treatments, I find that I have to put a few dollops on my hair to cover it all but this was so rich, that I didn’t need much. The tub will last a while!

After shampooing, I left it on for four minutes (I’m a rebel like that) and rinsed out. Despite its thick texture, it rinsed out easily. With some conditioners, my hair still feels rough after I’ve rinsed. I can tell when a conditioner has worked well if my hair is smooth when wet – and my hair felt really smooth after rinsing this out.

I towel dried my hair and used a Tangle Teezer to brush. I normally hate this part as my hair is prone to knotting but the brush glided through my hair with ease. Promising!

Then, I used the MiracOILicious Moroccan Argan Oil.

The scent is the same as the treatment. As the product is super-concentrated, I only needed a drop. I rubbed through my palms to warm slightly and worked it through the mid-lengths to the ends of my hair. It didn’t feel greasy and didn’t leave a sticky residue on my hands.

It’s a super versatile oil and and be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool, which is great if you’re in a rush or don’t like to overload your hair with loads of different products.

After blow drying, my hair felt soft and rehydrated. It didn’t take as long to dry either which was a bonus as it usually takes 25-30 minutes. It had a nice shine to it too. I even used it on dry hair the next day to rejuvenate it and eliminate any frizz that had accumulated overnight, it’s ideal for controlling bed hair!

The products left my hair feeling smooth, strong and shiny. The only downside I can think of is the packaging but that’s just personal taste. The contents are great!
