Spa style treatments at home? Yes please!

I received a couple of products from their body care range; the light Shea & Coconut Body Butter and the Lime & Coconut Body Butter. I love body moisturisers and use them everyday so I couldn’t wait to try these.

Mandara Spa Shea & Coconut Body Butter Light

Firstly, the tube is quite a decent size at 200ml. I can imagine it lasting me a few months even with regular use. Although it’s a “light” formula, it’s actually quite rich so if you want something heavier than a lotion but not as thick as a standard body butter, then this is your best bet. It contains naturally pampering ingredients including shea and cocoa butters and coconut oil so my skin felt really moisturised after using. The scent is subtle but pleasant, I couldn’t detect much coconut but I could smell the nutty tones of the shea butter. It’s not strong though, I don’t think many people would be offended by the scent! I liked the packaging too – the brown and gold gives a luxe feel.

Mandara Spa Lime & Coconut Body Butter

This has a very thick consistency so it would be excellent for dry skin in need of an intensive moisture hit. After applying, it took a good few minutes to sink in properly so I wouldn’t use it if you’re in a hurry to get dressed. I’d recommend applying before going to bed to let it sink in overnight! Having said that, it’s not sticky, heavy and doesn’t leave a residue either. It just needs time to absorb! My skin felt amazing afterwards – completely soft and nourished! However, the standout feature of this is the scent. It contains shea, cocoa and mango butters, smoothing sweet almond oil, coconut oil, hydrating glycerine, fragrant sweet orange and lime oils. It’s zingy and invigorating but not overpowering – like freshly squeezed limes!

I don’t have a particular favourite as they’re both effective – the light body butter is ideal to use everyday and the body butter is perfect for an intensive overnight treat once or twice a week.
