April beauty favourites

I thought I’d share some of my beauty favourites that I’ve been using lately!

Pink power

Soap and Glory Butter Yourself, £10, 500ml

I’m a die hard fan of S&G. Their washes, scrubs and moisturisers are top notch! I like this lotion because the formula isn’t as heavy as a body butter making it great for daily use. It also smells heavenly and makes my skin super soft and smooth. The pump dispenser bottle adds brownie points – less mess and I don’t waste any! Yay.

Batiste Blush dry shampoo mini, £1.50 for 50ml

Since I’ve been brunette, I’ve had to switch from regular dry shampoo to the brown hair version as the regular variety makes my hair look ashy. However, the brunette variety doesn’t come in the mini size so I still use this if my hair is looking dull when I’m out and about. It has a lovely floral scent, absorbs excess oil and adds some texture – a godsend.

Essie nail polishes in Back in the Limo (sheer melon – left) and Fiji (opaque pastel pink – right), £7.99 each

These colours are ideal when you want your nails to co-ordinate with all your outfits. They also make your nails look understated but groomed at the same time. I love natural looking shades like these because they don’t look ugly when they start to chip either. Perfect if you hate painting your nails more than once a week (like me!).

Benefit Dandelion lipgloss, from the Christmas 2014 advent calendar

I don’t wear lip gloss very often anymore but this glides on so silky and doesn’t stick to my hair on a windy day. The pearly pink shade looks really subtle and pretty, I use it on days when I want to look polished but not too made-up.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum, £68 for 50ml

My boyfriend has been buying me this scent ever since it launched a few years ago and I still love it. It smells so luxurious and expensive – floral, woody and musky at the same time. It’s quite strong so I only need a couple of spritzes but it lasts for ages.

VO5 Ultimate Hold hairspray, £3.29

This dries quickly, holds all day, brushes out easily and gives a touch of shine without feeling sticky. The mist is ultra fine too so my hair doesn’t end up looking crispy if I accidentally spray too much. The 400ml can lasts a while and it’s not badly priced. I’ve even swapped Elnett for this so it must be good!

Ahh, nothing beats good old Batiste! I’m also a big fan of the VO5 hairspray, though I wonder if I’m just blinded by the pink aha :)

I agree, the pink packaging does help Claire! And the fact that it’s not too pricey in comparison to Elnett. And Batiste is my daily lifesaver!
