Another day, another suede jacket! As you may have seen from previous blog posts, I’ve built up quite a collection of suede pieces. I find suede really easy to wear and it makes a change from regular leather. Suede also looks great during the autumn months when there’s less need for a heavy coat but you still need a cover up to keep the chill off.
I chose this ASOS style because I liked the deep rust colour. I thought that it would be a bit different to the usual beige or chocolate brown. Here, I paired it with this ASOS patchwork denim skirt and an off-white and blue stripe top from Zara for a bit of contrast.
Before this year, I hadn’t worn a denim mini skirt since my teenage years so I want to make the most of them before I start thinking: “Am I too old to wear this?!” I know clothes don’t have an age restriction but I don’t think I’ll suit short skirts forever!
The top is one of my many striped tees from Zara. In my opinion, they are a ‘fail-safe’ buy so I like to stock up! They’re really affordable too; this one was only £7.99. You simply cannot go wrong with stripes no matter what time of year. Whenever I don’t know what wear but want to avoiding looking plain, I always go for stripes.
If I was just out doing errands, I’d probably wear white Converse with this outfit to add some freshness to the look but this time, I went with my trusty black ankle boots to toughen the skirt up.
Would you wear this outfit? What do you like the most about it? Let me know!
