Current No 7 skincare favourites

I’m obsessed with taking care of my skin and love trying new products so I was excited to test out a few bits that were kindly sent to me from No 7.

No 7 is one of those brands that I trust because their products are always great quality but they’re reasonably priced at the same time. Their products are a step up from your typical supermarket/drugstore goods but also something you don’t have to wait until payday to buy! Anyway, I’ll start with the body products I’ve been using.

Beautiful Skin Blissful Body Wash

For me, a good body wash is one which lathers well and doesn’t dry my skin out. Fortunately, No 7’s offering ticks the boxes! Its rich lather is formulated to cleanse and moisturise, whilst being enriched with high levels of grapeseed oil to help to prevent dryness. It has a lovely, creamy texture which feels more luxurious than your bog-standard shower gels and I quite like the scent too.  I can’t describe the smell – it’s not fresh or fruity, it’s almost a spa-like scent.

Beautiful Skin Perfecting Body Polish

I’m fussy with exfoliators so admittedly, I was a little apprehensive trying this. I prefer grainy and ‘rough’ scrubs to ones which feel like shower gels with a couple of beads thrown in. However, the Perfecting Body Polish was a mixture of both. It wasn’t quite grainy enough to shift the remaining patches of fake tan but it didn’t do a bad job of scrubbing either. My skin felt smoother and looked healthy afterwards. I’d definitely use again as a gentle ‘every day’ exfoliator.

Beautiful Skin Completely Quenched Body Milk

Now, the pièce de résistance! I absolutely love this body lotion. In fact, I finished it yesterday after scraping every last bit from the bottle. Devastated! It’s lightweight and easily absorbed but leaves my skin feeling nourished and pampered as I’ve applied a thick, rich body butter – if that makes sense?! It also made my skin look more radiant and even. Plus, the pump bottle makes application easy (and less messy than pots!) An exceptional body lotion!

Next up are face products.

Early Defence Day Cream

I’m at an age (26 – argh!) where I don’t really need anti-ageing creams but I want to start protecting my skincare from the first signs of ageing. The Early Defence Day Cream is designed for young skin and boosts young skin’s natural defences to help it look younger for longer. The texture is light and doesn’t block my pores or leave any residue. It also contains 5* UVA technology, SPF 15 and makes an excellent base for my foundation.

Early Defence Night Cream

I normally use the same moisturiser for day and night but I can understand why a night time cream would be more beneficial.  The Early Defence Night Cream absorbs quickly for a boost of care that continues while you sleep. It definitely feels slightly heavier than the day cream but it sinks in well and leaves me with beautifully supple skin when I wake up.

Do you use No 7? If so, let me know your recommendations!
