Thinking about 2017 and what the year will bring

Okay, I know there’s still a month left of 2016 but over the past few weeks, I’ve been looking ahead to 2017. I find it comforting to think of the good things to come. And I try not to think about any bad!

A post on 2017 and the year ahead

How 2016 has turned out

Blog-wise, this year has been great. I’ve had some wonderful opportunities through freelancing, started earning decent money from my content and made excellent relationships with PR companies as well as brands. Additionally, I’ve been back and forth to London a lot and created a travel section for my blog.

On a personal level, it’s been a weird year. But I think 2016 has been odd in general! I’ve been through some very testing times. However, I believe that they are experiences which will make me a stronger and a more resilient person in the long run.

I’ve also learned self-acceptance, stood up for myself and made some positive steps towards being a better version of myself. I’m hoping to share more on this with you someday soon as I would love to help others who are in a similar position to me.

Looking ahead to 2017

My main goals are to be happy and to cherish time with my family. Because that’s what life is about right? It’s sounds like a cliche but it’s so true. What’s life without happiness and your loved ones? Ah, that’s enough sappiness from me in one post!

Otherwise, I hope to keep improving my blog, continue my personal development, work hard, save and take more time out. I say this all the time, but I really don’t relax enough. It’s a horrible habit of mine which I can’t seem to break. I can never switch off!

I’ll be writing some more goal-orientated posts into the New Year but it’s been good to start thinking of 2017 already. I always feel reflective around this time of year. I’m hoping for a positive year ahead! Are you looking forward to it?
