Finding the positives; getting your spark back

When I was a teenager, I was known for being happy, bubbly and outgoing. As I approached my mid-twenties, I was still very much the same. During my mid-twenties, I was still that bubbly person on the outside but inside, I felt the opposite.

I guess circumstances at the time knocked my confidence. At one point, I doubted whether I would ever be the outgoing girl I once was. I’d suffered so many knock backs that I had no idea how to get my ‘spark’ back. I just wanted to feel like me again instead of a shadow of myself.

Now in my late-twenties (argh!), I feel like I’m on the path to becoming the old Georgia. Believe me, I’ve fought tooth and nail to get here. And I’m still fighting. But the main thing is to keep going. I constantly pick myself up, push myself further and think where I want to be. I’m getting there.

You know that old saying what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger? I couldn’t agree more. Even though I’ve been in some unfortunate situations, I’m grateful that they happened. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for them!

Focusing on the positives

Life isn’t all rainbows and butterflies but you can look for them. There is always a positive in any situation. I’ve learned to find the positives and focus on them. And by doing that, I’m feeling more and more like my fun and outgoing self again every day.

Focusing on the positives

My advice for anyone struggling to get their spark back is take things day by day. Think of where you want to be and make small changes to get there. Put all your energy into building yourself up and do what you can to be happy. Surround yourself with people who want the best for you.

What advice do you have for finding the positives in every day?
