As it’s been a while since I’ve blogged, I thought I’d post to let you know I’m still here! I feel like I’ve said this a lot lately but life has really taken over these past few months.
There’s no particular reason, I’ve just been concentrating on myself. It’s easy to get absorbed into the online world but it’s important to live life away from the screen too.
So, what have I been doing? Well for a start, I’ve been focusing on work. I got a new job in February and I’ve been settling in over the past five months. I’m really enjoying the role and my colleagues are fantastic. I’m grateful to have met such lovely people.
I haven’t been able to dedicate much time to freelance work lately but as I become more settled, I plan to start again. I’m really looking forward to getting back into it. Writing is my absolute passion and it’s something I could never give up.
I’ve also been focusing on fitness. I joined a new gym in April and I’ve been going 3-5 times a week. Besides the gym itself, I’ve been trying as many different classes as possible and have found a new love for spin. If you’re looking to burn calories and get toned quickly, I highly recommend it!
Seeing as I like to keep busy, I’ve enrolled on a course which starts in September. I’ll be sure to update you closer to the time. And I’m going on holiday very soon. Keep an eye on my social media feeds for the photos!
Outside of work and the gym, I’ve been socialising as much as I can. I’ve realised that I am much more confident and happy when I’m around people, especially those I can be myself around. I’m thankful for the girl friends who have supported me and brought out the best in me this year.
And of course, I’ve been spending quality time with my family. As mushy as it sounds, they truly are a blessing and I couldn’t have got through the tough times without them. Time spent with family is worth every second.
