Since I started blogging, I’ve been invited to some fantastic events around the UK but regrettably I can’t always make them. Work commitments and travel quite often get in the way!
But when opportunities arise in Cardiff, I do my best to grab them! One of the latest events was the launch of Sk:n’s new clinic on Charles Street.
Sk:n are the UK’s leading skincare clinic group so I was really excited that they launched in Welsh Capital. It’s just around the corner from Queen Street so it’s easy to get to. In fact, it couldn’t be easier by train! It’s a super short walk from Queen Street station.
What treatments are offered?
The clinic offers a multitude of skincare and dermatology treatments including Tixel, Endermologie cellulite treatment and Photodynamic Therapy. They also offer more familiar treatments such as skin peels, lip fillers and laser hair removal.
Luckily, I had the chance to try the DermaQuest Retinol Infusion skin peel by Harriet, who was lovely and helpful. I’ve never had a skin peel before so as you can imagine, I was full of questions! Would my skin actually peel off? Will it make my face sensitive? Does it hurt?
I won’t go into major details because you can read about it for yourself here. The Retinol peel is designed to restore hydration and give skin a lift. The results are instant with no downtime and hardly any flaking. Perfect for a quick fix. And no, it doesn’t hurt at all!
Back to the launch, there were live demonstrations and I saw the Tixel treatment in action which is ideal for hyperpigmentation. Plus, there were Q&A opportunities with the Medical Director Dr Harryono Judodihardjo who was fantastic to watch at work. Completely professional yet calm and reassuring.
Overall, it was a great afternoon of skin expertise. The clinic was immaculate, the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. It was my first time at Sk:n but I can assure you that it won’t be my last. I’m looking forward to going back ASAP!
