Superdry checked shirt and basic tee

Can you believe it’s October already?! I’m still in summer mode even though autumn is officially here.

Shirt and t-shirt, Superdry. Shorts, Zara. Boots, Miss Selfridge.

This outfit is the best of both worlds – I get to make the most of the warm temperatures with the shorts but at the same time, it doesn’t look out of place for this time of year. I was lucky enough to be sent lots of goodies from Superdry (thank you again!) and this is the first of the outfits that I’ve put together.

I really like Superdry because the clothes are high quality and a nice fit – and I’m not just saying that because they sent me stuff. I’ve bought from there before! The shirts and hoodies, in particular, look amazing wash after wash. Their clothes are perfect for layering – think vests, tees and shirts in lots of different designs and colours. Although Superdry has a very casual image, they also stock some lovely dresses and skirts which would look gorgeous for a night out – I’ve got an outfit coming up which might surprise you! Stay tuned for that post on the weekend.

I’ve seen checked shirts on the high street everywhere lately but this superdry lumberjack pocket shirt really hits the mark. I love the colours (there are plenty more colourways in the range) and the long sleeves look cool full length or rolled up. I wouldn’t just pair it with shorts either, I’d wear it over a plain black or denim dress toughened up with biker boots, buttoned up with a skirt for a smart/casual look or with jeans for an effortless weekend outfit. It’s such a versatile piece!

The Superdry skinny t-shirt worn underneath is a brilliant basic for my wardrobe – its slim fitting which is a nice contrast with the loose shirt and I like the sheer fabric too.

Would you wear this outfit? Have you shopped in Superdry before?
