I’m not sure whether it’s the change in seasons, lack of sleep or not enough water but my skin has been feeling dry and lifeless lately.
So when I received the RMK Skintuner Smoother Moist this week, I rejoiced. Yes! A solution. The Skintuner Smoother is a pore minimising moisturiser designed to drench the skin thoroughly, whilst treating pores and exfoliating rough areas for smooth, polished skin. It is meant to hydrate and brighten.
The scent of apricot, bitter lemon and rosemary was refreshing yet relaxing – it reminded me of a gin and tonic with lemon. You could use it in the morning to revive tired skin or in the evening to help you unwind.
According to the directions, you should pump the liquid four times onto dry hands or on a piece of cotton pad, then apply to your face. This method wouldn’t work as four pumps would end up overflowing out of my palms. I found that one or two pumps was more than sufficient.
However as the pump was quite large, there was no control over the amount of product dispensed. I pressed the pump once and the liquid went everywhere without warning!
The texture is very light and watery which was easily absorbed. My skin felt hydrated almost immediately. It was the boost of moisture that my skin needed!
I couldn’t see any brightening effects but then again, I haven’t been using the product for long.
Provided you don’t pump too much, the tall 150ml bottle will last a while. Although the packaging is simple and minimalistic, I really liked the subtle, shimmery sheen of the bottle.
I was most impressed with the hydrating qualities and the fresh, fruity scent. Despite the packaging, I will continue to use this as part of my daily skincare routine.
