Father’s Day with Marks and Spencer

Whenever I ask my dad what he wants for his birthday, Christmas or Father’s Day, he gives the same response: “Nothing. Just buy me a Ferrari when you’re rich!”

Seeing that the Ferrari will probably be a few years away (haha!), I tend to buy him gift vouchers along with some foodie treats that he can enjoy while watching the football or repeats of Only Fools and Horses.

Marks and Spencer have lots of lovely treats and drinks which all Dads will love, including chocolates, beer, BBQ marinade sets and whiskey gift sets.

They kindly gave me an assortment of delicious goodies to give to my dad and my stepdad Paul on Father’s Day this year.

Father's Day chocolates from Marks and Spencer
A great range of tasty treats for Dad!

I’m planning on giving my dad the single malt whiskey truffles, the crunchy peanut brittle and a malted milk chocolate and the spiced mini’s and the other bar of malted milk chocolate to my stepdad.

Single malt whiskey truffles

Cocoa dusted milk chocolate truffles made with warm Highland single malt Scottish whiskey. These are presented in a lovely navy box which I have no doubt my dad will use afterwards. I can imagine him keeping bits and pieces in there like spare screws or pens!

Spiced minis

Mini pieces of milk, dark and white chocolate delicately infused with aromatic spices such as cardamom, sea salt and lime, ancho chilli and ras el hanout (African spice mix). Before he became self-employed, my stepdad was a chef so I know he will get stuck in with these unusual flavours!

Crunchy peanut brittle

Pieces of toffee smothered in milk chocolate and pecan pieces. I know that my dad will just love nibbling these with a cup of tea when he gets home from work – they look so moreish! And I know he won’t appreciate the packaging as much as me but how gorgeous is the turquoise and gold box?!

Malted milk chocolate

My dad and Paul both have a bar each which is nice. I’m hoping that either of them will save me a square or two! But somehow, I don’t think they will – the chocolate sounds too good to share. I’ll let them off this time!
