Dr. Hauschka rose day cream and night serum

I like to change my skincare routine during the autumn/winter months to give my skin extra nourishment. I have ‘normal’ skin but it can be prone to dryness in cold weather so I like to protect it as much as I can.

Autumn/winter skin prep sorted!

The Rose Day Cream is a classic in the Dr. Hauschka range, capturing the benefits of rose to nourish and protect normal, dry and sensitive skin.

The formula is very rich so you only need to use a small amount. When I first tried it, I made the mistake of slathering it on so my face felt sticky for hours afterwards. Less is definitely more!

As it is quite a luxurious formula, I’d advise you to wait at least 20-30 minutes to let in sink in before putting make-up on as it does leave a slight oily film on your skin. This isn’t a negative point; it just goes to show how highly moisturising the cream is!

When the cream eventually sank in, my skin felt hydrated and looked radiant all day. I probably wouldn’t use it in the summer months as it would be too heavy but for the winter, it’s perfect for giving my complexion a boost!

I also tried the Night Serum from the range, which allows your skin to breathe freely and stimulates its natural renewal processes.

The formulation with apple fruit hydrosol and apple blossom extract supports the skin’s natural rhythms while guiding it through its essential night-time work.

The texture was super light and absorbed into my skin really quickly, making it feel toned and conditioned. As it was a serum, I imagined it to feel greasy on my skin but in fact, it felt lighter and absorbed better than the day cream!

When I woke up, my skin looked completely fresh and revitalised without any excess residue or breakouts. I think I’ve found a new skincare essential!
