Another day, another monochrome ensemble! This was such a simple outfit to put together but I loved wearing it. I can’t enough of minimalist looks!
I bought the skirt from ASOS last year. I don’t buy white clothes very often but I think that they are great way to freshen up my wardrobe for the summer. The skirt was only £26 and I’ve worn it alot more than I thought I would so it’s been amazing value for money! I’m looking forward to getting more use out of it over the next couple of months. The denim fabric gives it a casual feel but I could easily jazz it up with a chic pair of pointed flats or chunky sandals.
The black sleeveless top is another bargain – I picked it up from H&M earlier this year for around £8. I was originally going to keep it for the office but I couldn’t resist it for weekend wear too. I really love pieces that I can wear for a number of occasions! The roll neck is a smarter alternative to a t-shirt or vest without looking too overdone. I need to stock up on different colours! I.e. grey and white to coordinate with the majority of my wardrobe.
I don’t tend to wear my Converse during the colder months so it felt good to bring them out of hiding for the warm weather. For me, they’re an ideal summer shoe because they’re versatile, comfortable and give every outfit a cool, ‘I haven’t tried hard’ vibe. Personally, I think they look better when they’re not pristine but at the same time, I don’t like them too scruffy. I’ve got a white pair too but I don’t wear them as much – the black ones are a bit more practical.
What do you think of this summery monochrome outfit? Let me know your thoughts!
Love everything about this, the way you’ve styled it is perfect! I don’t wear my Converse in winter either but love them during the summer months.
You are so FLAWLESS woman! I have a similar top that I love, but hadn’t thought to style it for the summer like this – definitely stealing this look off you :)
