Slogan t-shirts have been all over the high street lately and I’m really feeling them! They’re perfect for making a bold statement without saying a word. I noticed this tee from Topshop recently and loved the slogan so much that I had to buy it immediately! So what if it’s another white t-shirt, you can never have too many.
The ‘Females of the Future’ motif resonates with me at the moment. I’ve always been about the girl power and supporting fellow women but even more so lately, as I’ve become a single lady. Queue Beyonce on repeat! It’s also a reminder for me to make a difference in life, no matter how big or small. Even though I’m looking forward to the future, as long as I stay kind, helpful and considerate then I’m happy!
Here, I’ve tucked the tee into black denim mom shorts for a monochrome vibe. I’m not a big fan of shorts that look like denim knickers (gross!) so this mom style is ideal for me. I like the loose fit, ripped details and the longer length. I just wouldn’t feel right in tiny hotpants with my bum cheeks hanging out – so not a good look! It might work for teenagers but it certainly doesn’t work for me.
Since the slogan t-shirt does all the talking, I didn’t need to accessorise much. I kept things simple with a sterling silver bracelet and ring. Meanwhile, the belt added a touch of vintage to the outfit. It’s 25 years old and belonged to my mum when she was my age. How cool is that?! I love that this look is about girl power and my mum is part of it. YES MAMA!
