One of the perks of blogging is that I get invited to press days, launches and events. Due to full-time work commitments, I can’t always attend daytime events so I love to make the most of evening events.
Recently, I was invited to try out the Twilight Supper and Spa Package at the Laguna Health and Spa in Park Plaza Hotel. Situated in the heart of the Cardiff, Laguna Health and Spa is a luxurious space to escape from the pressures of everyday life.
The package includes one 25 minute spa treatment, use of the leisure facilities and relaxation lounge, use of a robe towel & slippers and a two course dinner in Laguna Restaurant.
When I arrived, I met lovely bloggers Briley, Jessie-Ann and Stephanie to use the facilities including a 20M indoor pool, steam room, state-of-the-art gym and relaxation lounge. In the lounge, you can enjoy complimentary fruit juices, flick through magazines or simply relax and do nothing. It was hard not to fall asleep!
Then, we split up to have our treatments. I went for the Laguna Signature Back Massage but you could also choose from the Signature Facial, Express Manicure or Express Pedicure. I chose the massage because unlike the others, I don’t have them often and it felt like a real treat.
I didn’t regret my choice! The therapist was really welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable while the massage itself was wonderful. Just what I needed to ease away stress and tension from a hectic week at work! And the products used were the icing on the cake – I love Elemis!
After the massage, it was time to get dressed and join the other bloggers for drinks and dinner at Laguna Bar and Laguna Restaurant.
To start, I had the marinated figs followed by the caramelised shallot tart paired with a glass of red. Divine! The dinner was a great chance to catch up with the blogger ladies and sample delicious food in the stylish but cosy surroundings of the restaurant.
Overall, the evening was the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle and relax in the tranquil surroundings of spa by evening. I even got to take home an Elemis goody bag to continue the pampering at home.
