Last week, I was sent fragrances to review. Seeing as BOSS Bottled and Lacoste LIVE! are men’s fragrances, I asked my boyfriend Phil what he thought of them – he got to keep them too, the spoilt thing!
BOSS Bottled Collector’s Edition, 50ml
Hugo Boss celebrates this Christmas with the launch of BOSS Bottled Collector’s Edition. It is inspired by Hugo Boss fashion which has always been synonymous with classic and timeless style. The new Collector’s Edition contains the fragrance in a gun metal grey bottle, which looks timeless and sleek. It would look great in any bedroom or bathroom. “I really like the bottle. It’s simple but smart and classic-looking,” says Phil. The immediate fragrance experience is fruity and fresh, but soon develops into a warm, woody and sensual release. It combines fruity citrus top notes of plum, lemon and apple, with spicy notes of cinnamon and clove at the heart, and warming woody base notes of sandalwood and cedarwood. Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme, 50ml
Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme captures the sensuality of delicate flowers and evokes the feeling of pure white cotton on skin. The bottle is a basic ball shape with a cotton thread around its neck, which further alludes to the simplicity and freshness of pure cotton. I understand that the bottle reflects the simplicity of the perfume but personally, I like bottles which look pretty on my dressing table as well as having a nice scent. The bottle looks more than a skincare product than a fragrance. However, the fragrance itself makes up for the basic bottle. It opens with fresh citrus top notes of juicy white pineapple and sparkling mandarin, woven with a pure floral heart and sensual sandalwood and vanilla at the base. A floral, fruity and elegant scent that is perfect for everyday wear. Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme is a charming, light and fresh scent that exudes authenticity and confidence. Simple, relaxed and chic, it is a universal fragrance for women.
