Year of the Staycation: Glamping in Three Cliffs, Gower

As foreign travel still isn’t advised from the UK, our staycations continue. Back in March, I had a feeling that it wouldn’t be easy to go abroad this summer, so I booked another glamping experience with Wild Things Events.

Cheers to you, Wild Things Events!
A different kind of pillow talk

I loved it so much last year that I couldn’t wait to go again! Especially with Sam as we hadn’t been camping before. We went for 2 nights and stayed at the Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park, which has a brilliant amenity block (hello power showers!) and overlooks the beautiful Three Cliffs Bay.

Ready furnished

The luxury bell tent came pre-pitched and furnished with funky décor, an air bed, bedding, throws, cushions, rugs, plants and fairy lights. I love that Wild Things take care of setup and taking the tent down. It made life SO much easier and gave us a chance to start enjoying straightaway!

Loving tent life!
The cutest picnic setup

We also had a gorgeous little picnic table with dried flowers, glasses, crockery and elderflower pressé, which was a really nice touch. Particularly as I don’t drink! There’s a wicker basket of cleaning supplies, games, a torch and a mini electric heater too, which came in handy. Despite being June, it still gets chilly at night.

Gower dining

Even though we both live within a 15-minute drive, it was still the perfect opportunity to explore Gower like a local. We made the most of it by paddle boarding, walking and dining at King Arthur Hotel and The Britannia Inn. Two fantastic traditional pubs with good local food but I have a particular soft spot for The Brit!

It was so nice to come back to our tent after our exploring and eating. We could have happily stayed in there the whole time if we didn’t have an incessant urge to see/do as much as possible everywhere we go! Sam said he could have easily camped for a week. And I have to say – I totally agree with him!

Kissing Sam’s rugby bruises better!

The whole glamping experience with Wild Things was a joy from start to finish. From the moment we stepped into our tent, it was like being in our own free-spirited, stylish paradise. The perfect escape from the chaos of modern life!

I’m out of my rind!
