Going green with my colour of choice in 2022

I don’t know what it is but I can’t get enough green at the moment. It’s been a bit of an obsession this season! I’ve always liked forest green but brighter emerald, lime and particularly, Kelly green shades have been on my radar lately. It’s such a bold and vibrant hue, which looks good as a pop of colour or a complete outfit, if you want to make a statement.

I didn’t realise how much I liked the colour until I noticed that a lot of my buys this season have been different shades of green. See a selection of my favourite outfits below.

Green meets pink

I couldn’t resist the fun print of this dress! Green and pink together is such a cute combination. It was the perfect dress to wear for dinner at a nice restaurant with some heels. It’s so easy to throw on with no fuss and one of the most comfortable dresses I’ve ever worn. I like versatile pieces and this could definitely be dressed down with trainers for a cool shopping trip outfit.

Slogan chic

Sweatshirts are a great addition to your wardrobe because you can dress them up, dress them down, wear to the gym, wear to brunch or wear around the house. Personally, I like them as they have the casualness of a hoody but they look a bit more pulled together. H&M have some lovely styles at decent prices and I thought the self-care slogan was cute.

PJ mode

Satin co-ords seem to be everywhere at the moment and since they have a nightwear vibe, I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to make the most of my actual pyjamas. Team with a blazer, heels, a funky clutch and voila, instant glam ensemble. The best thing is that you can wear for a girly evening out and you’re ready for bed when you get home – just take your makeup off and dive into the sheets! Thank me later for the life hack.

Smart casual

I used to live in blouses in my twenties and I’m enjoying them making a comeback in my every day attire. They’re effortless and pair with everything from trousers to skirts to shorts. This one is oversized and could even be worn as a dress but it works for me loosely tucked into jeans and with heels for a simple, smart but casual look.

Gingham style

I’ve been really fond of midi length lately. So much so, that I often avoid dresses shorter than above the knee these days. Maybe it’s the comfort or lack of tanning my legs but either way, long live the midi! I found the puff sleeves and square neck line of this gingham number really flattering too. An all-round, pretty little number.
