As much as I love dressing up, I love dressing down more. These high waisted denim shorts are my summer staple. For me, being casual is all about keeping things simple and being comfortable. I like pretty sandals and cute dresses as much as the next girl but throwing on a pair of shorts and chucking on trainers is what summer is all about. Not worrying about getting my dress creased or my sandals rubbing my feet and giving me blisters!
I’ve been wearing this type of outfit for the past few weeks in different colour variations but the look stays the same – denim shorts, a basic tee, trainers and a lightweight knit for when the sun goes down. Summer dressing should be quick and effortless, the warm weather isn’t around for long so it’s important to spend less time primping and preening inside and more time outdoors!
