I love embellished dresses but I always seem to ignore them on the rails as I don’t go anywhere special enough to wear one. I think they can be a bit OTT for a standard Saturday night out – I prefer to look a bit more edgy in prints, leather and darker colours.
However, a wedding is the perfect opportunity to don a sparkly little number, right? So, I treated myself to this stunning Miss Selfridge embellished dress, to wear to a friend’s wedding.
I chose it because I really liked the nude colour for a change to my usual addiction to black, the flattering bodycon shape and cute scallop hem. But the best feature was the all-over embellishment. The silver sequins and beads were so eye-catching and pretty – I had a few compliments on it at the wedding reception.
It was nice not to wear much jewellery either, the dress did all the work! I’m really glad I chose the dress, it’s fun to be glamorous now and again.
What do you think of the dress?
