Polo necks in Paris

This was my favourite look from Paris. Although it warmed up by the afternoons, it was chilly in the mornings so this was the perfect outfit to wear out for breakfast.

I haven’t worn polo neck jumpers since my early teens so I’m pleased they’ve made a comeback – they make me feel nostalgic! As you might know, I’m a fan of stripes and I adored the colours on this ASOS style. I like orange but I worry that it can be a bit too ‘in your face’ but it looks surprisingly good broken up with white, navy and lavender.

I fell in love with the black corduroy playsuit as soon as I put it on. I don’t mind wearing it on its own but I much prefer it with a tee or jumper underneath as I don’t like being too exposed! To be honest, I think it works better layered over a top anyway for a real Autumn vibe. It’s a great little piece to take you from the warmer months to the cooler ones! You could even team it with thick tights if you want to get your wear out of it in the winter.

Since the bright stripes were busy enough, I went for simple black accessories to keep the look in proportion. I chose the Monki cross body bag as the design was clean and simple with no fussy detailing, had plenty of room for my essentials and a strong zip. It was only £18 too, which I think is a good price considering how sturdy it is and how much you can fit in it. A very practical bag!

I’ve been unsure about the round sunglasses trend this year as I worried that they would look too gimmicky. However, I spotted this black pair in H&M for £4 so I decided to give them a go. They’re still not my favourite style of sunglasses but they give this outfit a 90s feel which I quite like, especially with the polo neck.

There are plenty more outfit posts to come from Paris but let me know what you your thoughts on this one. Au Revoir!
