Now that it’s December, I feel that I don’t have to have an excuse to wear to sequins. They’re perfectly acceptable to wear any time this month, whether I’m shopping with my boyfriend, out for lunch with the girls or at the office Christmas party!

Knit, Zara
Jacket, Superdry
Tights, M&S
Boots, River Island
Recently, I wore them for an afternoon in Cardiff. Who says you can’t wear sequins as daywear? I think the view that they’re strictly for the evening is so dated! Life is too short to save the sparkle for special occasions. Well, that’s my opinion anyway!
Sequinned pieces are perfect for when you want instant glamour but they don’t have to be full-on either. They’re surprisingly versatile and be easily dressed up or down.
Here, I’m wearing an ASOS wrap sequin skirt with a cute knit, tights and ankle boots for an off-duty daytime look. I love the wrap front design as it’s an edgy alternative to a standard mini skirt. And the camouflage effect embellishment is super cute!

It was tempting to team the skirt with my trusty black jumper but I went for grey instead to soften up the outfit. The jumper also coordinates well with my River Island grey boots, which make a change from my usual Kurt Geiger boots. You might have noticed them quite a lot in my previous outfit posts but I can’t help it, they look good with everything!
I finished the outfit with a Superdry leather biker jacket to toughen up the look. I did contemplate wearing a Zara long black coat but it smartened up the ensemble too much. I still wanted to be fairly casual as I was doing errands alongside shopping, brunching and beauty appointments.
Would you wear a sequin skirt in the day, like me? Or do you think that they’re only for nights out?
You would never think ‘sequin’ and ‘camouflage’ together would make sense, but this is actually ridiculously beautiful! Style envy as alwaaaays.
