My top make-up picks from Clinique

My first experience of Clinique was when I started using the 3-step system as a teenager. Later on, I was introduced to the make-up and I loved them as much as skincare products. Fortunately, the lovely team at Clinique sent me some bits to try and here are a few of my top picks.

Pop Lip Colour and Primer

If you’re in search of flattering, everyday lipstick then this one is for you! It’s smooth and creamy but isn’t too sheer either. In fact, it has a slight velvet finish! It doesn’t last long but I don’t mind reapplying because it glides on so nicely! The colour stays true and keeps my lips moisturised, which is good as I hate drying lipsticks. Nude Pop is my favourite shade!

I love lipstick but occasionally, I fancy a glossier look. This is where Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer comes in handy! It’s a high-shine lip colour that provides a full-coverage in one coat. The formula is lightweight but feels luxurious on my lips. I also like that it has a built-in primer so it glides on effortlessly.

Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder

Generally, I haven’t been using powder long but it’s quickly become one of my beauty staples. This powder is no exception! It removes excess oil without disturbing my make-up, makes my complexion look fresher (no chalkiness) and leaves a matte look. It needs touching up after a few hours but the compact itself lasts absolutely ages.

True Bronzed Pressed Powder Bronzer

This was one of the first bronzers that I ever tried and I’m so pleased it’s back in my make-up bag again! My preferred shade is sunkissed, a pinky bronze which creates a natural-looking, radiant glow. It’s lightweight, blends well and builds up easily if I wanted a deeper level of bronze. The packaging is quite simple but I like that a decent mirror and soft brush is included.

Lid Pop

I’ve got back into wearing eyeshadows recently so I’m enjoying trying different formulas and colours. Clinique Lid Pops are silky and don’t look powdery on my skin. The shades are richly pigmented and blend easily to desired level of intensity. I really like Vanilla Pop, which is great for an neutral, “no make-up” look.
