Pink lady; one co-ord, two ways

I’ve never been drawn to wearing pink but lately, I’ve been loving it on my nails (super flattering!), in my make-up bag (hello rose gold eyeshadow!) and in my wardrobe. I’m so used to wearing black that it makes a nice change to wear a softer colour.

I fell in love with this co-ord as soon as I saw it on ASOS. I normally go for cool and edgy outfits but this time, I felt like choosing something girly and pretty. Why not!

For my first look, I decided to wear the skirt and jacket together, with a fresh white tee underneath. I wore it on a trip to London last month and had quite a few stares on the tube. I didn’t mind but just a heads-up if you’re a bit more self-conscious. It’s not an outfit for the shy and retiring!

Despite getting in touch with my feminine side, I added Kurt Geiger black ankle boots and my beloved Radley handbag to stop the outfit being too sugary sweet. I couldn’t help myself, I needed some fierce touches!

It wasn’t long until I wanted to toughen up the look! Instead of teaming the two co-ord pieces together, I swapped the pink jacquard skirt for a leather mini. I’d definitely recommend this combination if you’re after something more wearable. It makes a statement without looking too full-on.

As much as I love the previous outfit, I’d probably wear this one the most because it’s got a casual vibe to it. I’d feel a bit overdressed wearing the co-ord set to the supermarket but not the leather mini with the jacket.

What’s your favourite look?
