My failsafe day to night look

When I’m not in the gym or in college, I love catching up with colleagues or friends after work. Since I work in a corporate environment, I never really have to worry about changing due to the formal dress code. I’m totally ready for the evening!

Here’s a look I wear to the office quite often, especially if I know I’m going out afterwards. It’s a winner for Friday night dinner. Most of the time, I cannot be bothered to take a change of clothes. I just want to add a slick of lipstick, ruffle my hair and go.

Trousers: Topshop. Shirt: Zara. Shoes and belt: River Island.

From office to evening

The trousers are from Topshop Petite a couple of years ago. I bought them to wear to a party because I didn’t fancy wearing a dress. Since then, they’ve become my work trousers. The ankle length is perfect for me because I can wear flats or heels without the bottoms dragging on the floor. Short girl problems!

I picked up this shirt from Zara a while back. I’m pretty sure it was a sale find! I used to be obsessed with leopard print when I was a teenager so it reminds me of my younger self. Who doesn’t love a bit of nostalgia?! What I like about this shirt is that it’s appropriate enough for work but doesn’t look out of place away from the office.

Unfortunately, I wish the belt was Gucci but it’s still a cute dupe from River Island. I did debate buying a Gucci belt as a little birthday treat for myself back in September but instead I paid my car insurance in full. It’s all fun and games when you’re an adult, I swear!

I probably wouldn’t wear these shoes to work in the winter (cold toes all day, no thanks!) but I’d definitely change into them before going out.  A quick spritz of perfume, powder my nose and I’m done. Office to evening ready in no time at all.
