When I said spring has sprung in my wardrobe, I wasn’t kidding. Give me all the feminine florals, pretty prints and pastel hues please! I’m so ready for them.
Time for tea
This ditsy tea dress from Oasis is the dress of dreams. The fluted sleeves are really flattering and I love the lace waist – it’s all about the details. How gorgeous is the print too?! The lemon and grey flowers are the cutest.
Here, I’ve worn the tea dress with my barely there sandals from River Island. They’re my failsafe shoes as they go with everything! For the office, I’d also team it with smart black pointed courts.
The tea dress is a longer length than I’d normally wear but it’s nice not to worry about having too much leg on show or whether my hemlines are too short.
The length does mean that I have to wear heels with it all the time but I don’t mind at all. Unfortunately, I can’t get away with long dresses and flat shoes as I’m too little. My legs would look stumpy!
A versatile piece
For a more casual look, I’d add a leather biker jacket and block heels. The great thing about this dress is that I can wear it with tights now and bare legs during the summer. I’m a huge fan of clothes I can wear through the seasons. I would definitely wear it in autumn too. Result!
I’ve kept my make-up fresh and dewy again for this spring inspired look. I’ve used an illuminising primer (L’oreal Infalliable Luminating primer) underneath my foundation and plenty of powder highlighter (NARS highlighting powder in Hot Sand) on top.
I’ve gone a bit heavier on the eyeliner than I normally do but I fancied a more dramatic effect for a change. I’m usually quite subtle with my make-up!
What do you think of the print?
