If you follow my Instagram, you might know that I’m doing a part time make-up course at college. Occasionally, I post about what I’ve been up to in class on my Instagram Stories!
It’s more a hobby than anything. I like to keep busy and I wanted something to focus on apart from blogging, freelancing and the gym. And full-time work of course.
On my blog, I prefer to focus on fashion and lifestyle but I will be making an effort to include more beauty in the future. Especially as I’m a trainee make-up artist. Another skill I can add to the CV, I suppose!
The lovely team at Too Faced sent me a few goodies recently and I couldn’t resist telling you about them. I know I’m a bit late to the Peaches & Cream party but better late than never eh.
First of all, the Too Faced packaging is to die for. The products really brighten up my make-up bag and put a smile on my face. Not to mention the ultra-cute names and the scent. Everything is infused with peach and sweet fig cream and oh my goodness, it’s delicious. The products smell as amazing as they look!
Here’s a little overview of what I’ve tried. Please note, I tend to write little snippets about make-up rather than full blown reviews. There are plenty of fabulous beauty bloggers who rock at the in-depth stuff. Anyway, moving on to these Too Faced wonders…
Peach Perfect setting powder
A lightweight powder which brightens my skin beautifully. It sets my foundation well and creates a smooth canvas for bronzer, blusher and highlighter. I like using it under my eyes after concealer to give them a boost. I have mega dark circles so anything to lighten them up is a winner with me.
Peach Blur finishing powder
I love the look of flawless skin (who doesn’t?!) and this powder helps me achieve that Instagram filter glow. In a translucent peach shade that suits all skin tones, it helps blur imperfections without looking cakey or chalky.
Peach My Cheeks melting powder blush
I thought this was a cream blusher at first but it actually transforms into a powder when applied. I probably wouldn’t have chosen the Ginger Peach shade but it’s a nice change and makes my face smell dreamy!
Sweetie Pie matte bronzer
The prettiest bronzer I’ve ever seen! In fact, it would be rude not to take a photo of it. It features four blendable shades to define, highlight and sculpt for a radiant look. A welcome addition to my beauty arsenal.
Peach Kiss Moisture Matte lipsticks
I find matte lipsticks quite drying but these are comfortable to wear and feel hydrating. The formula is long-wearing too. The purple (After School Special) is not my kind of shade as it’s too bold for my less than Kylie Jenner lips. However, the pink hue (Pink with a Wink) is gorgeous for a burst of spring colour.
