Spring is here; my first look of the season

Spring has sprung! Well it has for my wardrobe anyway. I’m so over winter clothes! After a season of wearing dark colours, I’m embracing pastel shades for a clean and fresh look. Time to ditch the dull and dreary!

So here is my first outfit of the spring season. As you may know, I love black jeans but it feels so nice to swap them for a lovely lilac pair. These classic Isabella jeans from Oasis are perfect for brightening up my day, even if the weather isn’t so bright. They’re super comfortable and they’re a good length on me too. I usually have to get my jeans shortened so I’m impressed that I don’t have to bother this time. I think these jeans come in a baby pink, which I’ve very tempted to get! Both colours will see me through right up to the summer.

In my opinion, everyone needs a crisp white shirt. It’s as essential as a decent pair of jeans and a leather jacket. This cotton number from Oasis has become my new staple. Just tuck it into jeans and you’ve got the perfect, effortless outfit. Perfect for a relaxed weekend look! It would look cute tucked into a skirt or worn over leggings too. However, you could easily smarten it up for work as well. I can’t stress enough how versatile a white shirt is!

As for my make-up, I’ve kept the look pretty with a dewy base and pastel eyes to reflect the spring feel of the outfit. To get a glowing complexion, I recommend using an illuminating primer under foundation with highlighter on the high points of your face (e.g. nose, cheekbones, forehead).

Here, I used L’oreal Infalliable Luminising primer with NARS highlighting blush to finish. Make-up trends come and go but I will always be obsessed with a healthy, radiant base!
