As spring is on the horizon, I thought I’d round up some of my favourite outfits from winter. I don’t usually enjoy dressing for the cold but this winter, I’ve loved layering, bright colours and making bold statements. The weather is miserable enough from December-February, why look drab aswell?!
Of course, my looks from New York and London are obviously UP THERE but here are a few ensembles you might not have seen. Unless you follow me on Instagram, that is! And if you don’t, why the heck not!
Yellow fever
I absolutely LOVE everything about this dress. The colour, the style and I’m obsessed with tulle. It makes me feel like Carrie Bradshaw whenever I wear it! And if it’s good enough for Carrie, it’s good enough for me.
Georgia & the Technicolour Dreamcoat
When I spied this coat on Vinted, it had to be mine! It makes me smile when I bring it out of my wardrobe and that’s what style is all about. Here, I paired with a faux leather mini, a green roll neck jumper and chunky lace-up boots, which go with e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.
Baby, it’s colourful outside
Although this is more of spring/summer dress for me, it was still great to wear with boots, a leather jacket and a hat (I rarely go without one!) on milder days. It’s also fully biodegradable, with a hand painted print.
Green glow
Okay, so metallic green trousers might not be for everyone. But they’re a bit of me! They reminded me of a pair of shiny silver cargos I wore when I was 10. I clearly haven’t grown out of my funky trousers phase!
‘Tis the season
I didn’t fancy donning the traditional Christmas jumper but I still wanted something fun. I loved the vintage feel of this jumper. It had a homemade vibe to it, but with a modern colour palette. I’ve worn these green sequin trousers every festive season for about five years running.
High-vis but make it fashion
Speaking of sequin trousers, what’s the verdict of these glitzy pink beauties?! They’ve attracted some lovely comments when I’ve worn them. I teamed them with this stunning oversized coat and cute turqiouse beret. You can’t lose me in this outfit!
Faux but fun
I don’t wear black very often as I’m all about the brights but winter isn’t complete without some faux fur. I dig this gilet out every year, it’s perfect for adding warmth but not too much bulk. The matching fur hat, sparkly over-the-knee boots and red lippy finish off the cosy but cool look.
Orange you glad to see me?
Gosh, colourful coats make me happy! This orange number is so cheerful! I’ve thrown it on over a teal marble dress with green cowboy boots, which were only £13 in the sale. Talk about a bargain! I’ve got hats in every colour but thought this camel beret would be a winner.
