I couldn’t resist thisĀ rose sequin cami dressĀ from the petite range at Miss Selfridge. It’s a loose but flattering fit with matte effect sequins which makes it ideal for glamorous daytime wear as it doesn’t resemble a disco ball too much. It would have looked great at a festival with a fringed jacket and biker boots! But equally, it looks just as good not worn in a muddy field with a feather head crown. Gutted I didn’t get to go to a festival this year!
I wore this outfit to the birthday celebrations of my friend Sam’s mother. It was a family and close friends affair so this dress was perfect because it wasn’t too short or revealing. I didn’t want Sam’s grandmother to see my bum cheeks. Or anyone, for that matter. I teamed it with bare legs and black leather ankle boots this time but it also looks lovely with black opaque tights and heels for a night out.
I’m so pleased its September because I can start wearing hats again – I live in them during the Autumn/Winter months! I don’t even wear them for fashion purposes half the time, they’re brilliant for hiding my hair when it’s looking less than fresh. Who needs dry shampoo?! Actually, I take that back. Whoever invented dry shampoo is a SAINT.
I hope you like this look, let me know your thoughts! It’s my birthday tomorrow (I’ll be 25, argh! *Queue mid-twenties meltdown*) and I’ve got a few plans to look forward to so there will be more outfit posts over the next few days. I can’t guarantee the looks will be sparkle-free though. SOZ.
