milk_shake hair products

I’m fanatic about keeping my long hair looking healthy so I was pleased to receive a couple of conditioners by Italian hair care brand milk_shake recently.

I was sent two travel sized products – the active milk mask and conditioning whipped cream, which were both 50ml.

Active milk mask

A rich restructuring mask to deeply nourish and strengthen dry or damaged hair. It is designed to rectify lifeless, dry and damaged hair with natural milk proteins, vitamins, rice and avocado oils.

This smells gorgeous and has a consistency of a regular conditioner rather than a typical intensive treatment. I applied to clean, damp hair after washing and left it on for a few minutes.

After rinsing out and towel drying, I noticed that my hair was more manageable and easy to comb. When my hair had dried, it felt strong but moisturised and full of vitality.

While this product was very good, it didn’t blow my mind. It didn’t have that luxury ‘thick’ feel of a mask so I had to use a generous amount to cover all my hair. I would happily use again as a decent conditioner rather than a treatment but I wouldn’t rush out to buy more if I had run out.

Whipped cream

A no rinse conditioning and protective creamy foam for all hair types.

This comes out of the bottle like a mousse so it was really addictive and fun to use. The foam was lightweight, non-sticky and smelled amazing – like a sweet, creamy milkshake (obvs).

It was perfect for detangling my hair before drying and would be brilliant if you’re pushed for time as you can simply wash your hair, skip conditioner and apply this instead with no need for rinsing!

My hair felt ultra-soft and smooth after using this. It had a lovely shine too which lasted for a couple of days. I would definitely buy this again, I loved it!
