What do you give to a mother who has everything? Tasty treats of course! Marks and Spencer kindly sent me foodie gifts for me to give to my mum and although I can’t review them as Mother’s Day isn’t until tomorrow, I thought that I would give you a preview as they look and sound gorgeous.
Mum’s Little Chocolate Cake (top left)
A super cute chocolate cake with buttercream which is hand decorated with a pink dragonfly and pink sparkly petals. A perfect size for my mum to keep to herself if she didn’t want to share but also big enough for me and my stepdad to have a piece if she was feeling generous! I’m not hinting whatsoever.
Peppermint Creams (top right)
These dark chocolates with peppermint fondant centres are just the thing to round off our homemade lamb roast on mother’s day. Light and refreshing with a just enough chocolate to hit the sweet spot after a heavy dinner.
Shortbread selection (bottom left)
Who can resist a biscuit or two? I know my mum can’t! She will like a few of these with a cup of tea in her Royal Albert teacup (she doesn’t do mugs – ever). With strawberry and cream, burnt sugar, lemon and lime and the classic all butter varieties, I predict these will be flying out of the biscuit tin! Mmm.
The Fruit and Tea Collection (bottom right)
A delicious assortment of vibrant fruit and tea infused chocolates. With African Rooibos, earl grey and matcha green tea truffles, I think these will be more ‘me’ than my mum but there are also raspberry and blueberry caramels, which would certainly appeal to her. How pretty is the floral cut-out box too?
Thank you Marks and Spencer for making my mother’s day already, I know that she’ll love her fabulous goodies when she opens them tomorrow!
