7 things that make me feel glamorous

  1. Sequins. My go-to glam look is a sequin dress and heels, particularly for special occasions. And when it’s not a special occasion, I love a sequin mini with a leather jacket and ankle boots.
  2. Lipstick. There’s nothing like a slick of lipstick to make me feel pulled together. I wear lip balm most of the time so I instantly feel more stylish when I go for a bit of colour instead.
  3. Perfume. I have a large collection of fragrances and a scent for every occasion. I usually wear light, fresh fragrances for the day and stronger ones by Chanel and Viktor and Rolf for the evenings.
  4. Bouncy hair. My hair is naturally very straight and flat so I like to get as much volume in it as possible. I swear by mousse, upside blow-dries, a medium barrelled curling wand and dry shampoo.
  5. Having a tan. I’m not a fan of sunbathing so I rely on self-tan to give me a golden glow all year round. I use different types of tan depending on the occasion (or weather!) from instant gel to overnight mousse to long-lasting sprays.
  6. Manicure. I treat myself to a professional manicure when I can because I can never get my own nails to the same standard. Of course, I couldn’t get them done every week due to the expense but it’s a sure-fire way to make me feel good every so often!
  7. Jewellery. I used to like flashy statement pieces but as I’ve got older, I love nothing more than a few basic but quality pieces. Small stud earrings, a couple of stacking rings, a plain bracelet and a dainty watch may not sound the height of glamour but I believe that less is more when it comes to accessorising.

Hi Alex! Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I use natural lighting as much as possible and play around with the brightening/contrast/saturation until I’m happy with the result. Hope this helps! Georgia :)
