This was another outfit that I wore on my birthday weekend a couple of weeks ago. I loved it because there was something a bit 1970s disco meets glam geek about it. In my opinion, anyway!
Burgundy is a great colour for autumn and I loved the metallic gold thread on this ASOS roll neck jumper. It’s cool, quirky and reminded me of one of my favourite sweaters when I was about 8 years old, from Tammy Girl. In a good way of course – who can resist a bit of nostalgia?!
The ASOS skirt is a versatile tan shade and perfect if you want to dip a toe into the suede trend without looking too OTT. I’m all for head-to-toe suede but I am aware that it can look a little much sometimes. I’ve been used to wearing A-line cut skirts recently but the mini is still a classic, especially if you don’t mind showing off your pins!
I’m quite fond of a box bag but I’ve always found them to too small to use for anything apart from the bare essentials for a night out. However, I was impressed with this snakeskin design from ASOS though because it’s a really decent size and comes with a long strap so you can either wear it across the body or carry it by its handle. How cute!
Seeing as I’m in black boots most of the time, I thought that this grey pair from River Island would make a nice change. They’re super comfortable and the block heel makes them ideal for day to night wear. I need to stock up on a few more pairs in different colours because I’ve worn these grey ones to death already.
What do you think of this outfit? Would you wear it? Let me know your thoughts!
