Ponytail, loafers and dogtooth trousers

I keep my looks as simple as possible so I tend to stick to black, white and neutral colours. I wore this outfit for lunch and an afternoon of shopping but I think that it’s appropriate for work too.

The dogtooth trousers are past season Zara and they’ve lasted years. When I bought them, they were too long (petite problems!) but I had them altered as I quite like the ankle grazer effect. I’ve got a few pairs of printed trousers but these are probably my favourite pair because they’re the most versatile. I team them mostly with black separates but when I fancy a splash of colour, a few bright accessories works wonders.

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean that I have to pack away the roll neck tops! This style from H&M has been a brilliant addition to my wardrobe since I bought it back in the spring. I’ve been desperate to wear it for months! It’s smart and chic but also great for the warm temperatures even with the high neck as it’s sleeveless. What’s more, it was a bargain at £7.99. I should have stocked up at that price!

I usually leave my hair down for blog photos but sometimes it’s nice to throw it up into a ponytail for a change. No heat styling or fussing around involved! I use invisibobble to tie my hair up, which are amazing as they don’t leave ugly kinks after I take them out (so my hair can be restyled again and again!) Plus, they don’t give me headaches either. I won’t use regular hair bands now, invisibobble are life-changing.

As ever, I’d love to hear your thoughts so please let me know what you think of this look!
