I’ve got a lot of time for biker jackets. They’re easy to throw on over any outfit and they make you look effortlessly cool in an instant. I’ve got several styles in my wardrobe but unsurprisingly they’re all black (my favourite colour!).
Thus, I thought that it might be nice to break up the black with a different colour and what better than blush pink? It’s such a soft and pretty shade which would be lovely in the spring/summer and autumn months. Not sure about winter though!
Normally, I go for genuine suede because I like good quality but as I wasn’t sure if the colour would suit me, I went for faux suede instead. That way, if I don’t find it as versatile as my black biker jackets, at least I haven’t wasted too much money! I always tend to spend more on pieces I know I’ll wear loads and less on pieces that I won’t reach for as much.
However, I found the pink to be quite flattering. On ASOS, the colour looks darker than it actually is but in real life, it’s light and subtle. I’m not a massive fan of pink so I was pleased that it wasn’t bright and OTT.
Considering it was only £50, the jacket doesn’t look cheap. The suede is super soft to the touch! I quite like the slightly cropped cut and zipped cuffs too – they make the jacket edgier despite the colour.
I’d say that it’s a regular fit, making it ideal for daily wear. Here, I’ve paired it with a black washed denim
skirt and a plain white t-shirt but I’d wear it with jeans or shorts aswell. I might even rock it on a casual night out over a dress. Probably not a Saturday night out but definitely for cheeky mid-week cocktails.
